Abaca is the fiber of the banana tree, which biodegrades in just 2 months, compared to polyester which takes 20 years to decompose. It is a very insulating and waterproof fiber
CARE
Use a sponge dampened with soap and water to remove light stains. Soak them gently, without rubbing, and let them air dry

An interesting mix of cultures, references, and inspirations gives life to the espadrille collection by WATARU, the Philippine brand that produces this unique footwear. What is immediately striking of them is the particular design of its bottom, handcrafted from abaca cord, a fibre obtained from a plant typical of the Philippines. A very Japanese taste but, above all, a different interpretation of espadrilles—more original & aggressive—while still maintaining tradition.
