In a time when loyalty is as precious a virtue as courage, an Occitan knight fights to preserve the memory and honour of men and women persecuted by the French crusaders: the Cathars, a religious movement condemned as heresy by the Church of Rome.
Arrogant friars and ruthless nobles cross paths with the life of a boy destined to become the greatest king of the Catalan crown — and they will all collide with the resolve of landless knights who possess nothing but a burning desire for justice.
«The hour of our revenge has come, and there shall be no truce, no negotiation. You cannot parley with scorpions — you either crush them, or they sting you and fill your blood with venom. And we have chosen to crush them. Men of the land of Oc! Saddle your horses, sharpen your blades, and entrust your soul to God, for the moment of reckoning is upon us!».
