No heu de ficar aquesta espardenya a la rentadora perquè porta una plantilla de cuir que pot destenyir. Per netejar l'exterior, recomanem d'emprar un drap de teixit suau i sabó per a peces delicades. Amb el drap lleugerament mullat i impregnat d'aquest sabó, netejar la brutícia que hagi pogut enganxar-se a l'espardenya. Pel jute, utilitzeu un raspall suau que ajudi a remoure la pols sense esfilagarsar el jute

The #IkatFromMallorca is the authentic Mallorcan fabric, made using a thousand-year-old technique, known in its countries of origin as ikat or ikkat, and which came from the east to the Mediterranean through the silk route. In Mallorca it is also known as 'roba de llengües', which means 'tongue's fabric' in reference to the geometric motifs characteristic of the island.
Ikats are made following an artisanal dyeing procedure, and it is critical for them to keep the peculiarities that make them indistinguishable: 1) the blurred edges of their motifs, since during dyeing, the dye spreads through the threads under the binding, creating the flame effect. This part of the process, being manual, makes each fabric unrepeatable and has the charm of the imperfect; 2) the designs are identical on both sides of the fabric.
The ikats capture all the essence of the Mediterranean lifestyle and its way of understanding life: simpler, happier and more natural. The designs are inspired by the beauty of the shapes of the Serra de Tramuntana, and the energy of its colours evokes the sea, in all its shades of blue, and the unique light of the Mediterranean, which baths the landscapes, marks the rhythm of its inhabitants and the climate that favours an outdoor lifestyle and a strong connection with nature.
The ancestral process of these fabrics, intact for centuries, connects directly with the value of the historical legacy that is passed down from generation to generation, keeping a technique, a craft and a product alive.
